Two curb cuts on state highway frontage — spacing, culvert inverts, and sight-distance lines that cleared the parish and DOTD from a single exhibit.
A circular driveway with two curb cuts on a state highway frontage required both parish approval and a DOTD access permit — with cut spacing, culvert continuation under both aprons, and sight distance in each direction documented.
We spaced the two cuts 68 ft apart per the access class, drew both aprons with the roadside ditch culvert extended under each (18-inch pipe, invert callouts), and plotted 400-ft sight distance lines each way based on the posted speed.
DOTD asked for one culvert material note; the revision cleared both agencies and the drive was poured within the month.
Parish and state on the same page from one drawing — anyone who has dealt with DOTD knows that sentence is a miracle.
