A completed pool failed its final inspection: the inspector found a gap where the screen enclosure met the house wall, breaking the continuous barrier — and required an updated site plan showing the corrected barrier path before re-inspection.
We drew the as-built pool and enclosure, marked the failed gap location, and detailed the corrected barrier continuity: the new self-closing door alarm on the house opening and the enclosure-to-wall closure panel, each keyed to the residential pool barrier statute sections.
The re-inspection passed on the first return visit and the pool received its final approval the same day.
Failed final on a Tuesday, corrected plan Wednesday morning, passed Friday. Kids were swimming that weekend.
