Fresno County required a site plan for a 14.4 kW ground-mount solar array showing setbacks from all property lines, the trench route to the main panel, fire-access clearance, and any ag well or septic components nearby.
We placed the two array rows with 40-ft front and 20-ft side setbacks, drew the 210-ft trench route with depth note, mapped the existing well with its 50-ft radius and the septic tank and leach field from county records, and added the fire-apparatus access note.
One revision to add the array tilt/azimuth text and the permit was issued. The installer adopted us for all ground-mount jobs in the county.
Roof mounts are easy — ground mounts in ag country are not. They mapped the well and septic without me digging up a single record.
